Hadn't intended heading for the beach so ill prepared in the lens department for action shots. A bit wild today, sand blowing into every nook and cranny forced me off the beach!

One of these days I'll get to the beach while the sun's still in the south. And I'll wear boots that don't leak. Strange light towards sunset.

Great light, but a late arrival missed all the action! Still (temporarily) without a long lens, so mostly restricted to scenic shots.

Enough light but too much wind to hold the lens steady by the time I got to the beach today. So it was a case of photographing people, scenes and 'stuff' rather than action.

Work has got in the way of everything for the last two months or more. First time out for ages and the light was constantly changing. Managed one or two decent shots before the lens got covered in salt.

I have one large (20" x 30") print available of this earlier shot available.

Only an hour and challenging light again.

Too rough for me to get in the water this evening, too short a lens to work from dry land and tough light made for hard work and a short session with a bit of a one man show in the action shots!

Unfortunately a number of the slideshow shots look okay at this size, but are a touch out of focus when viewed larger.
